Steve King is a former president and CEO DocuSign, a pioneer in eSignatures and the global standard for digital transaction management. With more than 25 years of leadership experience in the information technology sector, he has demonstrated proven expertise in executive leadership and ability to execute in highly complex environments.
Prior to joining DocuSign, King led ZANTAZ as president and CEO. Under his 7-year leadership, ZANTAZ grew to become the recognized market leader in cloud-based content archiving and e-discovery solutions, attaining a fourfold increase in revenues from 2001 to 2005 and a #6 ranking in the 2006 Software & Information Technology category of the Technology Fast 50 for Silicon Valley. In 2006, he received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, honoring entrepreneurs demonstrating excellence in innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. In 2007, ZANTAZ was acquired by The Autonomy Group and is now a key part of HP’s Big Data and Information Governance software strategy.
King also held a number of executive positions of E*TRADE Financial during its hyper-growth period. He was a member of the executive team that grew the company from under $100 million to more than $1.5 billion in revenues and ultimately became CEO of E*OFFERING, the pioneering online investment bank of E*TRADE. Earlier in his career King served in senior management positions at Thomson Reuters Corporation and Ziff-Davis, Inc.
Today, King sits on the boards of multiple venture capital-backed technology companies and serves as a mentor and coach for Alchemist Accelerator, a venture-backed business incubator focused on accelerating startups whose revenue comes from enterprises. King earned a B.S. in business administration and an MBA from Thomas Edison State University where he serves on the board of the TESU Foundation and is an advisor to the TESU School of Business and Management.
